ScubAmerica is ALL ABOUT enabling people to enjoy and experience
the amazing underwater world. To fulfill this mission, we provide thorough instruction for kids and adults from entry-level NAUI Open Water Diver to Advanced Diver. We also provide specialty training inNitrox, Diver Rescue, and Diver First Aid.

ScubAmerica relentlessly follows NAUI’s policy to teach classes emphasizing quality and thoroughness of instruction.

Then, we like to take our well-trained divers to beautiful diving locations in order to provide them with lifelong memories and the desire to experience more. We encourage divers to be lifetime learners pertaining to the Adventure Sport of Scuba Diving, and we provide continuing education and experiences to enable them to learn and dive safely.

Along with EXCELLENCE of instruction, we emphasize the FUN of Scuba Diving and the THRILL of seeing amazing things.

ScubAmerica includes two dedicated NAUI dive instructors: Dennis Catron and Ken McCracken. Dennis was trained by Ken in 1982, and is now a professional diver who teaches courses and provides dive guiding at the Blue Heron Bridge, Boynton Beach, and Pocomoke Beach, Florida. Ken teaches courses in Garfield County, Colorado and in and around Beaufort, South Carolina.

Ken teaches his courses at the City of Glenwood Springs Community Center Pool in Colorado. In Beaufort, South Carolina, Ken Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club and at the YMCA. Dennis teaches his courses at various pools in south Florida, under the Blue Heron Bridge, and while providing Refresher Courses to people from all over.

Our Colorado Training dives can be done at the Homestead Crater in Midway, Utah where the water is over 90 degrees F year-round (yes, even during the Winter). In the South, we do our training dives at the Jacksonboro, SC Quarry, the famour Blue Heron Bridge in Riviera Beach, Florida and on our dive trips to Key Largo and the Palm Beaches.

Ken has been a Scuba instructor for over 40 years and has safely trained thousands of divers at all levels and then taken them diving.
