He also made sure each student was comfortable and confident with new material learned. Watching him teach and interact with the children shows a comfort and competency that is like no other. I wasn’t overly comfortable with the idea of diving initially but over the course of the program I gained a comfort level and understanding that opens me up to many new adventures ahead. “At first I was pretty scared to go scuba diving but Ken was an amazing teacher. He made me realize that it’s not scary or dangerous if you know what you’re doing. Ken taught me everything I needed to know and I had fun throughout the whole process. He made learning fun (and usually learning isn’t very fun). When we went on the trip I felt safe the whole time even when the seas were rough because Ken was calm and was a great captain the whole time no matter what we did. “In 2017, several members on my family were able to join Ken on the sailboat trip to Bimini, Bahamas. The trip couldn’t have gone better and we had so many great experiences along the way. The details of the trip were coordinated by Ken and Dennis which allowed us to enjoy the trip all the more. Mixing the sailboat experience with diving, it was easily half the cost of a comparable trip. The relaxing atmosphere and camaraderie onboard the boat couldn’t be bought. Ken is truly a competent man that still treats people with heart and compassion without fail.
